WHO IS ZENDAYA?

Zendaya Coleman was born on September 1, 1996, in Oakland, California, the only child of Claire Marie (Stoermer) and Kazembe Ajamu (born Samuel David Coleman). She has five older half-siblings on her father's side. Her father is African American, with roots in Arkansas , while her mother has German and Scottish ancestry. Zendaya has stated that her name means "to give thanks". She grew as a performer in part at the nearby California Shakespeare Theatre in Orinda, California. She appeared in numerous stage productions while she was attending Oakland School for the Arts , starring as Little Ti Moune in Once on this island at the Berkeley Playhouse and the breakout role of the male character Joe in Caroline, or Change at Palo Alto's TheaterWorks. Zendaya spent three years dancing in a dance group called Future Shock Oakland. The group did hipp-hop and hula dances when she was eight. She studied at the CalShakes Conservatory Program and at the American Conservatory Theater.

UMM... WHERE HAVE I SEEN HER?

In 2010, Zendaya saw her career take off with the debut of Shake It Up on the DisneyChannel. Outside of her hit show, Zendaya lent her voice to the animated television movie Pixie Hollow Games (2011). She has also made guest appearances on such series as A.N.T. Farmand Good Luck Charlie, and starred with Thorne in the 2012 television movie Frenemies. In 2013, Zendaya made the switch from the imaginary dance show to the popular televised competition Dancing with the Stars. She was paired with professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy on the show.

In 2016, Zendaya made her feature film debut as Michelle "MJ" Jones in Spiderman: Homecoming, which was released in July 2017. The film grossed $117 million in its first weekend, ranking number one at the box office. Later in December 2017, Zendaya co-starred in the musical film The Greatest Showman. She portrayed a trapeze artist named Anne Wheeler who falls in love with Efron's character, Phillip Carlyle, during a time when interracial romance was taboo. Although the film received mixed reviews from critics, it was a commercial success and Zendaya's performance.

SHE DID WHAT?

Despite facing racial discrimination often, she doesn’t lose her calm and behaves in a positive manner. Her attitude towards such behavior even inspired a new Barbie doll. When the multi-talented lass graced the Oscars red carpet in dreadlocks, she gave out the message that such moves should be taken positively and should not be attached to racial behavior. With this move Zendaya pointed towards a change in the way red carpet reportage is done. The young girl indulges in a lot of charity work. She is the ambassador for Convoy of Hope organization and celebrated her 18th birthday by participating in feedONE initiative. The Good Samaritan has also worked with UNICEF, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Keep A Child Alive organization and was an ambassador for the Children’s Miracle Network.

Dolled up Zendaya?

Since 2015, when she stepped onto the Oscars red carpet in a goddess-like Vivienne Westwood gown and a halo of flowing dreadlocks, Zendaya established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the fashion world. Now, in 2017, the 21-year-old a perennial red-carpet favorite, a street style veteran, and an A-lister who we always look to for the latest and most daring fashion trends.

Okay Trash, but is Mama single??????????

Reports started coming out that Zendaya and Tom Holland began dating while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming a couple days after the movie premiered. PEOPLE cited an unnamed source, who confirmed the two were a couple and keeping their relationship out of the public eye:

They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man. They’ve been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye but they’ve gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another.

But keep in mind loves, this is just a rumor nothing is confirmed!!!

But thats it for our Eye candy of the week! Zendaya is cute, funny and the girl of our dreams. She makes our heart flutter and warms us all up. Ooh I love me some ZENDAYAAAAA. But make sure you check out Zendaya's works such as Spiderman: Homecoming, The Greatest showman, and Dancing with the stars.

Until next time,
